Annex M
Internode provides Australia's first 'Annex M' capabilities, on all SOHO Extreme® ADSL2+ and NakedExtreme ADSL2+ services. Annex M increases the maximum potential upload speed on an ADSL2+ service from 1 Mbps to 2.5 Mbps, enabling high performance Internet Virtual Private Networks from your office.
As with all ADSL2+ bandwidths, the maximum upload that you will achieve is dependent on your ADSL modem/router, the distance and the quality of your copper access line, and the professional installation of a central splitter. You can read more about it here.

Service options and charges
This option offers you a $0 setup fee with a 24 month contract term. It applies no matter which method you use to establish your Internode ADSL service.
If you cancel your service during the initial 24 month period, you are liable for a fixed $199 early cancellation charge. Full details on the 24 month contract are available here.
Please refer to the Transfer page under the specific ADSL product type for more information on establishing your Internode ADSL service; or call us 13 6633 if you need any assistance.
The alternative is to pay a setup fee and have no long term commitment. The setup fee depends on the method you use to establish your Internode ADSL service:
- $39 to churn (Telstra Fast Transfer) a suitable ADSL service from another ISP to Internode ADSL Standard, ADSL Plus or ADSL TwoPlus;
- $49 to single service migrate a suitable Internode ADSL Standard, ADSL Plus or ADSL TwoPlus service to Extreme ADSL2+;
- $129 to single service transfer a suitable ADSL service from another ISP to Extreme ADSL2+; or to establish a new ADSL Standard, ADSL Plus, ADSL TwoPlus or Extreme ADSL2+ service on a suitable active telephone line;
- $39 to churn (Optus Fast Transfer) a suitable Naked ADSL service from another ISP, to Internode Naked ADSL2+;
- $129 to convert a suitable existing telephone service into Internode Naked or NakedExtreme ADSL2+; or to establish Internode Naked or NakedExtreme ADSL2+ via a new service connection onto vacant copper pair.
There's no early cancellation charge with this option - your only commitment is the 'one month rolling contract' that is inherent in paying one month's rental in advance on your service.
Please refer to the Transfer page under the specific ADSL product type for more information on establishing your Internode ADSL service; or call us 13 6633 if you need any assistance.
If you move to a new house or office location, you have a choice of contractual arrangements:
- you can choose to have this done at no charge, in which case you enter a new 24 month contract term on the service at your new premises; or
- you can pay $99 for the relocation, and your existing contract term (if any) is carried across to the service at your new premises - ie it is not restarted.
Providing the relocation is successful, no early cancellation charge will apply to your previous service. You can even change Internode ADSL service type when you move - for example change from ADSL Standard at your old place, to NakedExtreme ADSL2+ at your new place - for no extra charge.
This applies if you wish to change the speed of your Internode ADSL Standard service - for example from 512/128 kbps to 1500/256 kbps - or change between ADSL Standard, ADSL Plus and ADSL TwoPlus. Please note that any changes requested will take effect at start of next billing period.
This charge is currently waived for all ADSL Standard speed upgrades - including upgrades from ADSL Standard to ADSL Plus or ADSL TwoPlus; and upgrades from ADSL Plus to ADSL TwoPlus!
There is no charge for changing your monthly download quota within the same speed - for example from Explorer to Advance; or from 10 Gbytes per month to 25 Gbytes per month.
- Also please note that any changes requested will take effect at the start of next billing period - remember you can use Data Blocks if you need an instant quota upgrade.
- There is also no charge to change your plan type - for example, from Home ADSL to SOHO ADSL - within the same speed, and once again, this will take effect at the start of your next billing period.
These changes can be requested at any time via our online planchanger, and are available regardless of whether you are within a contract term or not.

ADSL Account Application Notes
When you apply for SOHO ADSL, you should be aware of certain obligations and conditions once the order form is received by Internode.
Please be aware that when you sign the application form you are
signing to say that you accept and agree to be bound by the Internode Standard
Form of Agreement, ADSL Service Specifications and (if applicable) Naked ADSL Service Schedule - these documents are available here. Please call us if you would like any help interpreting these documents.
Internode ADSL Standard, ADSL Plus, ADSL TwoPlus and Extreme® ADSL2+ services are normally provisioned within 7-10 business days; while Naked and NakedExtreme ADSL2+ services are normally provisioned within 10-30 business days. All services are
activated by Internode no later that 7 days thereafter, at which time
Internode will commence billing.
The Internode ADSL Contract
When you signup for Internode ADSL, you can either:
- have no setup fee, and a $199 early cancellation charge if you cancel within the first 24 months; or
- pay the setup fee, and have a rolling one month contract with no early cancellation charges.
Full details on the 24 month contract option are available here.
Automatic ADSL Service Cancellations
Please be aware that your Internode ADSL Standard, ADSL Plus, ADSL TwoPlus or Extreme® ADSL2+ service will be
automatically cancelled by Telstra and a new ADSL service will need to
be ordered by you (including a new $129 Activation fee) in the
following circumstances:
- If your telephone account is cancelled.
- If you order an ADSL-incompatible product on the telephone line the ADSL is delivered on.
We strongly advise that you contact our Sales department to discuss
any pending changes to your phone service prior to making those changes. These issues do not affect Naked and NakedExtreme ADSL2+ services.
ADSL Relocations
If you plan to move premises - even if you are taking the same number with you -
you'll need to use our online relocation process. This ensures a smooth transition, and gives you the choice of:
- no ADSL relocation fee, and a new 24 month contract; or
- a $99 relocation fee, with any existing contract term carried across to your new premises.
Further details on ADSL relocations are available here.
Billing & Notifications
Tax invoices, Internode Bulletins and automated data usage warning
messages are sent to your Internode email address. Please refer to the
configuration sheet (supplied when your service is activated) for
details of your Internode email address. You can automatically forward
these emails to a preferred email account if required, via our online
Email Management system.
Please note that the first monthly service charge, plus activation fee and hardware charges, must be paid in full before Internode can activate the service.
Posting of paper invoices is
available but discouraged for environmental reasons, and if requested
will attract a $1.50 surcharge per invoice. Surcharges also apply to payments made by credit card - full details on this and our other payment options are available here.
